Bananas are a nutrient-rich fruit, with three varieties to choose from: Pisang Tali, Pisang Mas, and Pisang Berangan. Pisang Tali is known for its crunchier core and smooth surface with no edges, while Pisang Mas is the sweetest with a small size. The most common type, Pisang Berangan, has bunches that are typically large and have 1-2 edges along its skin.

Bananas are a less favourable option for people looking to sustain a ketogenic diet due to its high starch content, a more favourable option will be avocadoes which have much higher potassium and essential fats content.
